It's one of the darkest, goriest songs on an album positively oozing with dark and gory songs. That's why Travis Barker knew he had to record a version of Eminem's "3 A.M."

"I first heard it on some blogs, and right away, I was like, 'Oh, damn, this is demonic,' and I love stuff like that." Barker laughed. "So I spoke to [Blink-182 and Eminem manager] Paul Rosenberg and said I wanted to do a remix of it, then Em and I spoke and discussed putting a rock twist on the song, and I got to it."

AEG Live president and CEO Randy Phillips has rejected U.K. tabloid reports that Michael Jackson told fans that he only wanted to play 10 London O2 Arena shows rather than the 50 that have been scheduled.

The Sun reported that Jackson told fans outside his L.A. rehearsal space that he wanted to play 10 O2 shows and then go on tour.

In a statement, Randy Phillips, president & CEO, AEG Live, commented: "This is not true; Michael Jackson was thrilled at selling 50 shows. The size and scale of this show would not be possible without an extended run, which Michael has been fully on board with from the very beginning. He has not agreed to a world tour at this point, however, he can at any time."

The first four dates of the concert were recently pushed back in order that the show will be completely ready.

About Cameron B Sharpe

Cameron Sharpe The true story:
Spectacular has a problem. It seems a large portion of the population — you know, the portion that's male — watched his utterly amazing, pirouette-and-banana-hammock-fueled YouTube clip, the one he dubbed "a grinding challenge" to R&B pelvis-thrusters like Chris Brown and Day26. The Pretty Ricky member took issue with this, because the video was strictly for the ladies.

The libidinous, lip-licking lothario already made this point during an interview last week with Chicago radio personality Kendra G, saying, "Everybody knows I'm not gay. ... The underwear was for the ladies." But he apparently felt the need to explain it once again with another YouTube clip. And lots of furniture humping.

If you buy an album, you can call it whatever you want — at least R. Kelly thinks so. In February, Kelly partied in Atlanta club the Velvet Room with Jazze Pha, DJ Infamous and others and told the crowd that his new album didn't have a name.

"ATL, what's up? I got my little brother right here, Jazze Pha," he said, standing in the VIP balcony. "I'm out here working on the mutha----in' album. I'm working on a new album, and I'm calling that mutha----a Untitled. Y'all call it what y'all want."

Cameron B Sharpe Profile: Janick and Caren say they were approached by Atlantic co-chairs and COO's Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman to head up the imprint.

"When Elektra merged with Atlantic five years ago, we always knew the right moment would come to bring it back to life," said Kallman and Greenwald. "The great news is that we have found the perfect people to do it. John and Mike are two of the most passionate, creative, forward-thinking young executives in our business. They both started their careers as teenagers and have gone on to champion some of the most exciting new music of the last decade. The independent, entrepreneurial spirit that long defined Elektra is in great hands, and we are truly thrilled to see the label take flight once again."

Janick also suggests the approaching 60th anniversary of the launch of Elektra as another reason for the relaunch of the imprint.

"We are planning on building an eclectic brand," Janick says. "We're looking for artists with potential. We're not an incubator label; we're going to develop artists and get them to the next level."

He adds that he will continue to run Fueled By Ramen and extend the 360 model they have used to Elektra, noting that Little Boots is a 360 artist.

Cameron Sharpe The story
While the mainstream has been discovering Gaga via radio play and her appearances on "Dancing With the Stars" and "American Idol," the hip-hop community has also been tuning in, especially after Kanye West reimagined her song "Poker Face."

"I think she's a magnate to the industry in general," he said about Gaga's being embraced by the hip-hop world. "She's brave. She's fresh. She's different. She's bold. She don't give a damn. You gotta take her as she is. That's the beauty of it. You're forced to like her the way she is without no extra stuff added."

And it's her no-nonsense attitude that makes Akon love her so much. "She's like a sister to me," he said. "That's like my girl. She's right here, in a headlock!"
